Meet the Team
Annetta Crecelius
Founder and Creative Director / Denver, cO
Annetta founded Kern Design Lab in 2016. Her experience spans marketing, communication and design, working across industries for both large and small businesses, from higher education and advocacy organizations to community centers and healthcare providers.
After starting her career at an Indianapolis-based design firm in 2006, she has gone on to lead marketing and communication teams, most recently at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and the University of Denver. While at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Annetta helped promote former President Bill Clinton’s tour of the Stout Street Health Center, after which he mentioned the Coalition from the stage at CGI America and in his blog on The Huffington Post.
She knows that the best marketing plans are targeted and integrated across channels. And, the best design comes from understanding and using business goals and user experiences to inform the creative process.
She earned an MA in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver and BFA in Visual Communication Design, magna cum laude, from the University of Indianapolis.
Annetta enjoys spending time with her family and friends, practicing yoga, reading a good book, and snuggling with her two dogs—Hank and Charley.
